Changes to Aveley Heritage Sheep Ranch Agri-Tourism, Spring 2010
Tours:
Due to a Family Medical Emergency,
Aveley Ranch regrets that we will not be open for Full
Lambing Tours this spring. We are pleased to be able to
still offer basic viewing of orphan & lambing pen areas
with admission by donation and the Easter Egg Hunt!
The Moilliet Family thanks you for your
understanding in the matter. We look forward to offering
our full lambing tours again, spring 2011.
For 103 years
our family has passed down the necessity of being responsible stewards
of both land and animal. We are proud of this legacy and feel
it to be the core reason that delivers to you some of the tastiest
lamb on the market.
Responsible Care for The Land and The Animals Our land is important to us and our community, hence we do not use pesticides or unnatural fertilizer. Our flock grazes on lush rangeland and alpine flower meadows from spring to fall.
When the snow flies we feed our own naturally raised hay on open fields. We feel it is important for our animals to be able to move around and enjoy a low stress environment at all times of the year. Raising the sheep on our local crop of hay provides a year round diet abundant in local nutrients and properties.
